The West Australian Branch of the Australasian College of Physical Scientists and Engineers in Medicine

The WA branch of the College is comprised of approximately 30 members from a wide range of areas within the medical science and engineering disciplines. Fields represented include medical physics (including radiotherapy, diagnostic physics, and radiation protection), scientific computing, rehabilitation engineering, custom orthopedic implants and biomedical engineering. The aims and objectives of the branch are similar to those of the national body, with a special focus on issues relevent to the state.

The branch offers two annual awards; the Robert Stanford Award and the John Black Award. In addition, the branch frequently offers a travel grant designed to pay for the recipient's travel to the national conference.

There are about ten members who serve on the branch committee. The committee usually meets once a month at either Royal Perth Hospital or Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital.

Contact details for the branch are available on the Committee page.
