Dr.
Andrew Wood chairs the Scientific Program Committee (SPC). The
Scientific Program will include special symposia, plenary sessions,
oral (platform) and poster presentations, workshops, interest
group meetings, a student paper competition and exhibits. Proffered
papers can be in either of two categories:
Full
Papers
Arrangements
have been made with the journal Australasian Physical & Engineering
Sciences in Medicine for the publication of full short papers.
These will be fully reviewed, to ensure DEST E1 (C1) classification
for publications, and thereby encourage student attendance and
support by Universities. The review process is guided by the SPC,
in conjunction with the journal Editors, and the list of the referees
used appears in the Conference Proceedings. It may be necessary
to levy a nominal page charge to cover the cost of producing a
special issue. Please follow the Instructions for Authors downloadable
below for submission of full papers. Papers which do not reach
the criteria for publication will still be eligible for inclusion
as an abstract-only paper.
THE
DEADLINE FOR RECEIPT OF FULL PAPERS IS MONDAY 31 MAY 2004
Abstract
Only Papers
Authors
wishing to present platform papers or posters, and who do not
wish to have a full paper reviewed prior to the conference, should
submit an abstract to the Chair of the SPC. Please follow the
Instructions for Authors downloadable below for submission of
abstracts.
THE
DEADLINE FOR RECEIPT OF ABSTRACTS IS FRIDAY 13 AUGUST 2004
Awards
will
be given for the best student platform and poster papers. Student
submissions should be identified upon submission; the student
must be the first author and must present the report in order
to be eligible for consideration in the award competition.
Important
Note: As a commitment to attend and support the conference it
is expected that accepted presenters will register for the conference,
either for the full-time program or the day of their presentation.
For posters to be displayed, the author or a colleague who has
been associated with the work must be present at the poster session.
Presenters will be responsible for their own costs to attend including
registration fees.
