| Mammography Testing Certification |
|
This qualification is a mandatory pre-requisite to perform testing on mammography x-ray units for RANZCR and some state regulatory bodies. Mammography Testing Certification courseThe Australian College of Physical Scientists & Engineers in Medicine offers a Mammography Testing Certification course for those who are keen to work in this area. Candidates require a verifiable minimum of two years experience in general x-ray equipment testing, as well as being required to satisfactorily complete a pre-reading and assessment exercise before being admitted into the course. This course is not intended to be anything other than an extension course in the specialised area of mammography testing for people who already have experience in x-ray equipment testing, a good understanding of the physics of x-ray equipment, the requirements for testing in general, and are familiar with the test equipment and techniques. We simply do not have time in the 2 days to teach the basics, and we will assume that all participants have the above background. We have as a result normally required at least 2 years of x-ray testing experience for entry to past courses. The course itself will generally comprise 2 full days of lectures and practicals. Candidates will then be required to submit 2 satisfactory examples of mammography equipment tests to ACPSEM/RANZCR standards If you are interested in enrolling in this course, please submit your name and contact details to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it and you will be placed on a list. |
