Accreditation in Radiation Oncology

The Radiation Oncology Accreditation Panel (ROAP) is responsible for Radiation Oncology accredition.

There are currently two pathways to accreditation:

Radiation Oncology Equipment Commissioning & Quality Assurance (ARECQA)

This program commenced in 1988 and will cease taking applications on December 31, 2010. It is intended for experienced medical physicists, who commenced working as a Radiotherapy Physicist before 1st January 2006.

Radiation Oncology Medical Physics (AROMP)

This program commenced in 2004 and is the only means of attaining accreditation for people first commencing work as a Radiation Oncology Medical Physicist (ROMP) from January1, 2006.
