TAS Gov Child Safety and Wellbeing Panel | EOIs Now Open

Child Safety and Wellbeing Panel - Expressions of Interest Open

An Expressions of Interest (EOI) process to establish the new Tasmanian Child and Safety Wellbeing Panel (the Panel) is currently open.

The Department of Health is seeking broad membership from around Australia with appropriate expertise, experience and skills in child safeguarding and health systems.

The Panel is a new body that will oversee the monitoring and investigation of child safeguarding concerns within the Department and provide an advisory role to the Child Safety and Wellbeing Service (the Service). The Service is focused on key strategies to make systemic change in the approach to promoting children and young people’s rights, safety and wellbeing across all areas of the Department of Health.

The Panel will assist in implementing these strategies through providing independent oversight on monitoring and investigation of child safeguarding concerns raised through the Department of Health’s reporting mechanisms.

The Panel is able to use videoconferencing and/or phone conferencing to ensure all Panel members can attend meetings. Therefore, applicants from across Australia, interested in becoming involved, are encouraged to apply or share with their extended professional networks.

Expressions of interest for membership close on Sunday 29 January 2023 and further information can be found at Child Safety and Wellbeing Panel | Tasmanian Department of Health.

Sharing with our network on behalf of the Secretary of the Child Safety and Wellbeing Panel.
