The Radiology Specialty Group (RSG) is thrilled to announce the webinar session Communication Skills for Medical Physicists with Professor Mahadevappa Mahesh MS, PhD. Professor Mahesh is an Associate Professor of Radiology at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and the Chief Physicist at Johns Hopkins Hospital Baltimore, MD.

About the Session

The sessions will:

- Explore the importance of communication skills for medical physicists, particularly in clinical settings.
- Discuss the challenges medical physicists face when communicating with diverse stakeholders such as physicians, technologists, regulators, and patients.
- Present practical solutions and strategies to help medical physicists become more effective communicators in their professional roles.

About the Speaker

Dr Mahadevappa Mahesh is an Associate Professor of Radiology at Johns Hopkins University and Chief Physicist at Johns Hopkins Hospital, with a PhD in Medical Physics from the University of Wisconsin. He specialises in medical imaging, focusing on multi-detector computed tomography (MDCT), interventional fluoroscopy, and digital mammography.

Board certified in diagnostic radiological physics, Dr Mahesh plays a prominent role in professional bodies such as the AAPM, RSNA, and NCRP. He holds multiple editorial positions across leading radiology journals and actively contributes to national radiation safety and education initiatives. Widely published and a frequent lecturer, he also serves as a Scholar for the Gerson Lehrman Group, advising on medical imaging for global business and investment audiences.
