The WA Branch Committee invites you to the 2025 ACPSEM WA Branch Scientific Meeting (WABSM).
Where: Royal Perth Hospital - Health Technology Management Unit (HMTU), 197 Wellington Street, Perth, WA 6000
When: 1PM, Saturday 23rd August 2025
Duration: Approx 4 hours
The WABSM is a free event that is open to members and non-members alike. Please register for catering purposes and to get CPD points. Non-members, please email Ciara Mac Nally to RSVP. This year, afternoon tea and refreshments will be provided!
After last year's success, we would like to promote more talks from practicing medical physicists and radiopharmaceutical scientists to share your knowledge and experience. The talks don’t need to be innovative or based on a novel research project, rather we would like to encourage people to showcase their day-to-day work that may be of interest to others.
There will be two prizes up for grabs; the Best Presentation award open to ACPSEM professionals (ie someone who is currently employed as a medical physicist or radiopharmaceutical scientist) and the John Black Student award open to all Master’s and PhD students presenting on their research projects. Prize winners will each receive a $100 gift card.
The winner of The Written Award will be announced.
If you are interested in presenting, please submit your abstract (using this template) to Ciara by 15th August 2025. The length of the presentation should be around 10 minutes with an additional 2 minutes question time.
After the WABSM, we will be holding the WA Branch - Annual Meeting. At this meeting we will be discussing and voting on the election of new members to the committee. All member positions including executive office positions are being considered. If you wish to join the committee, please send your nominations to Ciara. Only members can attend and vote at the Annual Meeting.
