EXTENDED Consultation on ACPSEM's Scope of Practice

EXTENDED – Consultation on ACPSEM's Scope of Practice for Medical Physicists at the Time of Registration

Following stakeholder consultation, the Scope of Practice for Medical Physicists at the Time of Registration document has undergone further review and updates to take into consideration the feedback and comments received from the membership. Thank you to those members who reviewed the document and provided input.

Members are invited to provide feedback on the revised version. We are particularly seeking feedback from members relating to:

  • Domain 1C Radiology Medical Physicist
  • Domain 1D Nuclear Medicine Medical Physicist

Again, you are invited to focus feedback on any capability/enabling component that you believe should have been included in this description of the level of skill required to meet the threshold for registration. Or in other words, think about this scope applying to a person, without prior medical physics experience before undertaking TEAP, who is newly registered and has taken 3-4 years to complete TEAP.

Please submit your feedback via email to Sharon Flynn, ACPSEM CEO to sharon.flynn@acpsem.org.au by no later than close of business Wednesday 30 November 2022.
