Affiliate
 

For anyone interested in physics, radiopharmaceutical science and engineering in medicine. Affiliate Members do not require a tertiary qualification in the physical sciences, but may hold one in an adjacent field.

Affiliates are generally health professionals who work in collaboration with medical physicists and radiopharmaceutical scientists, such as technicians, radiographers or radiation therapists; or individuals with a broad interest in the College and its professions.

How to Apply
 

Applications for Affiliate Membership must be endorsed by an ACPSEM Member, Fellow, or Distinguished Fellow.

Associate 
 
 
For individuals and professionals who have achieved a recognised Degree in Physics, Engineering or Radiopharmaceutical Science.

Associates are those who hold a relevant tertiary qualification, but have little to no work experience in a direct clinical, industry or academic setting. 

Associates are recent postgraduates, TEAP Registrars, or professionals with relevant educational qualifications who do not work in an immediate medical physics or radipharmaceutical science academic, clinical, or industry setting.

How to Apply
 

Applicants must provide evidence of their educational qualifications.

Applications for Affiliate Membership must be proposed by an ACPSEM Member, Fellow or Distinguished Fellow. If you cannot provide an endorsed application from a Member who knows you personally, the Membership Committee can endorse your application following review and acceptance of it.

ACPSEM TEAP Registrars
 

As education qualifications and references are assessed via the process for application and enrolment in TEAP, Registrars are exempt from the evidence and endorsement requirements.

Member
 

For professionals with relevant educational qualifications who have worked in an immediate medical physics or radipharmaceutical science academic, clinical, or industry setting for minimum of 3 (three) years. 

Members are Registered Qualified Medical Physics or Radiopharmaceutical Science Specialists (or a recognised equivalent), or those with appropriate post-graduate qualifications working in Academia, Government, and/or Industry.

Interested individuals are encouraged to read the Guide to Membership in preparation for applying.

Applicants must provide their CV, certified copies of their Degree(s), and the details of 2 (two) Referees who can attest to the applicant's good standing in their workplace and/or other relevant organisation. Referees do not need to be members or fellows of the ACPSEM.

If you hold ACPSEM Certification and/or Registration
 

Applicants for Membership who hold an ACPSEM Certification or Registration are not required to submit a CV or Referee details with their application. TEAP Associate Registrars will automatically receive Membership upon meeting the requirements for Certification.

Fellow
 

For experienced Members who have made a significant contribution to the professions and administration of ACPSEM through sustained engagement with the College.

Fellows have:

  • a minimum 15 years experience as clinical and/or academic Medical Physicist, Radiopharmaceutical Scientist, or Engineer;
  • held membership of the College for min. 10 years; and 
  • served on an ACPSEM committee(s) for at least 5 years

Interested individuals are encouraged to read the Guide to Fellowship in preparation for applying.

Applicants must provide their CV, ACPSEM membership history, and details of their volunteer involvement with the College. Aspplicants must also nominate 2 (two) Referees who can attest to their employment history and/or involvement with the College. At least 1 Referee must be a Member or Fellow of ACPSEM.
