Job Description
The role encompasses comprehensive training in the scientific and technical foundations of Radiation Oncology, including external beam treatment planning, high-dose-rate (HDR) and low-dose-rate (LDR) brachytherapy, radiation dosimetry, advanced imaging applications, equipment commissioning, and routine and specialised quality assurance procedures to support safe and effective patient treatments. Participation may also extend to clinical duties or educational rotations at other units within The Alfred Hospital, at Latrobe Regional Health, and at additional Radiation Oncology centres across Victoria, as directed by the Chief Radiotherapy Physicist. In addition, the successful applicant will be required to contribute to departmental service delivery through participation in shift work, after-hours support, and limited on-call duties.

Job Requirement
- A Postgraduate Degree in Physics or related field with some experience in Radiotherapy
- Eligibility for a Radiation Use Licence, Dept of Health, Victoria
- Eligibility for Associate Membership of the Australasian College of Physical Scientists and Engineers in Medicine (ACPSEM)
Desirable
- Prior clinical experience in Medical Physics (preferably Radiotherapy Physics)
- Programming expertise and related technical skills
