We are currently looking to recruit Medical Physicists to join our growing team.
About you

You have hands on experience in Medical Physics and aspire to excel in the field.
General Overview of the Medical Physicists Compliance Role
Work towards developing accurate knowledge of legislation and practice in the following areas, with a view to be able to operate independently and perform the following functions/responsibilities, increasing your levels of responsibility in line with your training & experience:
- Performance testing of x-ray modalities and x-ray premises
- Shielding Design Reporting and Calculation for various X-ray modalities
- Radiation Safety Officer functions audits and advisory
- Adherence to internal reporting processes as instructed under the direction provided by trainer physicist and managers
- Proper record keeping in Sieverts CRM as per requirements outlined by the Operations Manager
- Develop understanding and cooperation as a team player, developing a deeper understanding for how each team member contributes to the company, in order to produce excellent & consistently high quality outcomes for clients.
Job Requirement
- Bachelor of Science (Medical Physics) degree or equivalent
- Available for a minimum term contract - 2 years
- Preferably have a current QLD Radiation Use Licence
- Have access to reliable transport, preferably your own vehicle. Company vehicle may be provided when available
- Full class C open drivers licence
- Have access to reliable internet and phone to perform necessary requirements of the role
- Proven ability in working with online applications, Microsoft Office especially Excel, exposure to CRM, & Metlab (or similar)
- Good interpersonal skills, displaying initiative and confidence in client interactions (with a successful track record in customer service)
- Have a great attitude towards your own continuous improvement and teamwork/collaboration
- Be conscientious in what you do
- Be organised and efficient to do what is expected of you
- Able to work with integrity in a remote and independent workplace environment
Hours, Availability & Scheduling
This position requires regular travel. The hours of availability will be full time with significant flexibility. It will be your responsibility to keep a close eye on your calendar, as it will be updated last minute if a client books or cancels an appointment.
You will be responsible to make sure you have the relevant testing equipment for each scheduled appointment, and, if you do not have it you will need to take the initiative to obtain it by contacting the physics team members and arrange collection of what you need.
On occasion you will need to be available to work outside of regular hours, this will be in consultation with your manager and with consideration to any other prior employment commitments you may have.
This is a remote working environment. You will be working from home and travelling to clients' offices to perform the above functions. Travel within QLD and interstate will be required as part of the position.
Technical
Perform the following functions/responsibilities in the organisation for our clients:
- Shielding Design Reporting and Calculation for various X-ray modalities
- Performance testing of various X-ray modalities
- Performance testing of various X-ray premises
- Radiation Safety Officer functions audits and advisory
- Radiation Safety Advisory
- Patient Dosimetry calculations and reporting
- Other miscellaneous projects and work when required
Licencing and Accreditation
Work towards full licensing and accreditation in a timeframe that we will advise and will be deemed reasonable by both parties:
- Already have a QLD Radiation Use Licence
- Obtain Radiation Use Licence in 2 other states (outside of QLD) within 9-12 months of starting work
- Obtain relevant RSO (Radiation Safety Officer) certifications as advised
- Apply for QLD Accreditation as advised
- Apply for Accreditation in 2 states (including QLD) as advised
