2025 Grant Applications Now Open: Supporting Medical Physicists

The Department of Health has approved the proposed Supporting Medical Physicists and Radiopharmaceutical Scientists Grant budget for 2025.

As such, we are pleased to announce that applications are now open for Round 7 of the ACPSEM Supporting Medical Physicist (including RPS) Grants.

Grants will vary in duration according to whether Registrars are enrolling in TEAP (3 years of allocated grant funding) or already enrolled (1-2 years of allocated grant funding).

Please note that we have not included a copy of the draft contract in this year's Guide and Application Form. Applicants who have not applied for previous grant funding rounds should request a copy of the contract from our office to assist with the local grant approval process.

Applications will be screened prior to presentation to the selection panel, removing from contention those who are yet to achieve timely certification of one or more registrars (as specified in previous applications and/or subsequent contract review meetings). Sites who recognise that this is likely to apply to them may consider not applying to this round and instead waiting until the next round of grant funding is released.

Should grant(s) fail to be utilised by a site within 6 months of being offered, the grant offer will lapse and be offered instead to others on a Register of Suitable Applicants derived from this application round.

Applications will close at 12pm AEST, 12 May, 2025.

Successful applicants will be announced in mid June, 2025.
