Job Description
A Senior Medical Physicist is required to join the Clinical Physics Division of the Health Technology Management Unit which provides physics services to several hospitals, most notably Royal Perth and Fiona Stanley. The role involves providing expert scientific advice and physics support with respect to advanced radiological imaging modalities such as CT, mammography, and ultrasound, and overseeing the X-ray compliance testing program. The role also involves testing other imaging equipment including radiographic and fluoroscopic X-ray units, and to provide general radiation safety expertise, e.g. dosimetry and room planning. The position will also entail administration of radionuclides to patients and teaching. It is also expected that the successful candidate will be involved in medical research.
