Job Description
We’re excited to welcome a Radiation Oncology Medical Physicist (ROMP) Consultant – Assistant Director to our Radiation Oncology Medical Physics team.
We are seeking an ACPSEM registered ROMP to oversee all medical physics aspects of stereotactic radiotherapy services within the Radiation Oncology department, including the ongoing safety and sustainability of current services and the establishment of an intracranial stereotactic service. The role will also assist the ROMP Director in a deputy role to provide clinical leadership as an expert specialist in radiation oncology medical physics and clinical operations as required.
Job Requirement
- Listing on the Register of Qualified Medical Physics Specialists of the Australasian College of Physical Scientists and Engineers in Medicine (ACPSEM) as a Radiation Oncology Medical Physicist or equivalent.
- Prior experience with the medical devices used at Sunshine Coast University Hospital (SCUH) and a proven track record of utilising the technology for the application of all stereotactic treatments including intracranial stereotactic radiotherapy applications.
- While not mandatory, a PhD degree in medical physics or equivalent would be well regarded.
- A licence to use radiation apparatus and sources issued under the Radiation Safety Act (1999), or qualifications to obtain licence.
