Radiation Oncology Medical Physicist

Cancer Care Manning Great Lakes

Full-time Permanent Position

 

Applications are invited for a full-time permanent Medical Physics Specialist position at Cancer Care Manning Great Lakes located in Taree, NSW. Cancer Care Manning Great Lakes, due to open December 2025, will be part of the growing Cancer Care Associates network of cancer care clinics operating throughout Australia. Cancer Care Manning Great Lakes will offer the full range of modern radiotherapy treatment options to its patients and will be equipped with an Elekta Evo Linac, a Siemens go.Sim CT Scanner, the C-RAD Sentinel & Catalyst HD+ systems, and utilise Monaco TPS and Mosaiq OIS platforms.

About Cancer Care Associates:


The successful applicant will join the physics team that support the radiation oncology services across Cancer Care Associates sites. Cancer Care Associates presently operate across 12 locations, 6 of which currently offer radiotherapy. Plans are progressing to both further expand the network and to update facilities at existing locations to provide comprehensive cancer care services. Job Requirement


To be successful in this role you will require:

  • Certification in Radiation Oncology Medical Physics and be eligible to be listed on the ACPSEM Register of Qualified Physicists. ACPSEM TEAP Registrars expecting to complete the program in the near future will be considered.
  • Evidence of a strong track record in the areas of; commissioning new technologies and techniques, collaborating within multi-disciplinary teams, improving processes and procedures, and assuming responsibility for the ongoing performance of radiotherapy equipment.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong fundamental physics and mathematics knowledge and understanding.
  • Creative problem-solving skills, inquisitiveness and innovative ability.
  • Self-motivation and to take an active approach in your own professional learning and development.
  • Being able to prioritise competing demands and have a willingness to be flexible with working hours as the job requires.
