The opportunity

This is a great time to make the move to New Zealand, where you can enjoy our beautiful nature and weather and make a difference somewhere different.

Te Priri o Te Ora - Auckland's Regional Cancer and Blood Service is based at Auckland City Hospital and is the leading provider of cancer care in the Auckland region, serving a large and varied population of around 1.7 million people. The Auckland City Hospital Radiation Oncology department is the largest single site department in Australasia.

Equipment used within the department are in line with worldwide developments such as six linear accelerators (Varian and Elekta), Align RT and C-RAD SGRT systems, Dual Energy CT, RaySearch Treatment Planning System, Mobius, SNC and Octavius QA platforms, and HDR. We also have exciting developments - the construction of a new brachytherapy suite along with a new afterloader and Brachytherapy TPS, the installation of the second of two new Varian TrueBeam Linacs, and the opening of a second site with one Linac, a CT and dedicated staff in Whangrei.

This is your opportunity to provide Physics support across our Radiation Therapy service. We are also an accredited training centre and run an excellent programme for teaching and training medical physics registrars, that you will get to be a part of.

You will also receive access to continuing professional development funds so you can continue to grow your expertise while attending international courses and conferences.

We are a friendly team from around the world and applications are open from newly qualified to experienced Senior Physicists. We currently have one permanent opportunity available, please refer to the relevant position description for your level of experience below.
