Purpose of position:

This exciting training role offers broad exposure across all aspects of Radiation Oncology Medical Physics while developing the skills and competencies required for ACPSEM accreditation.

In this role you will:

  • Participate in ACPSEM TEAP clinical and academic training
  • Assist with commissioning, acceptance testing and quality assurance of radiation oncology equipment
  • Contribute to treatment planning, brachytherapy and patient dosimetry services
  • Support radiation safety programs, protocols and quality improvement activities
  • Engage in multidisciplinary research, education and clinical development projects

This role is ideal for high-achieving Physics graduates or early career Medical Physicists who are passionate about cancer care, research and emerging healthcare technologies. We are seeking candidates who demonstrate initiative, strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication and the ability to thrive both independently and within a collaborative clinical environment.



Job Requirement


Essential Criteria:

  • Qualification: Bachelor of Science (Major in Physics) and completion of or substantial progress towards an ACPSEM accredited medical physics MSc course or PhD.
  • Registration: Eligible to enrol in ACPSEM radiation oncology physics TEAP.
  • License: Eligible or hold a current NSW EPA license IA29S and S29S.

Selection Criteria:

  1. Evidence able to complete the TEAP training within three years as per ACPSEM Clinical Training Guide requirements.
  2. Evidence of high academic records.
  3. Demonstrate interest in research and evidence of initiative in problem solving.
  4. Demonstrate good presentation as well as time and data management skills.
  5. Evidence of oral and written communication skills and ability to work effectively both in a multi-disciplinary team as well as independently.
