Job Description
To strategically coordinate Radiation Oncology Medical Physics (ROMP) education initiatives within Queensland Health and support state-wide radiation oncology departments providing training for certification pathways to the ROMP workforce.

Job Requirement
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in physics, or physical science with a major in physics, from an Australian university or a recognised overseas tertiary institution.
- Hold a post graduate master’s degree in radiation oncology medical physics from an Australian university or a recognised overseas tertiary institution.
- Hold and maintain registration as a ROMP on the ACPSEM register of Qualified Medical Physics Specialists and Radiopharmaceutical Scientists as evidence of current competency to practice independently in the relevant subspeciality.
- Have been employed in a position requiring advanced level competency in radiation oncology medical physics, as defined by the ACPSEM, within an Australian or equivalent health care environment.
- Be in possession of, or be eligible to obtain, a Queensland radiation use licence for radiation oncology medical physicists.
- Successful Candidates will be required to meet Key Performance Indicators as detailed in the role description.
