Seeking ACPSEM Committee Secretary

About the Role - Committee Secretary, ACPSEM

This is a casual role (onsite) with approximately one day per week commitment with the potential to be made permanent part-time of 0.2 FTE. The casual rate is $34 per hour plus superannuation. Based in Sydney, NSW.

This role is largely an administrative role in meeting organisation, minute taking and drafting member communiques out of the meeting. You’ll need to understand medical physics as background knowledge and to complete the following tasks:

  • Schedule meetings as required
  • Coordinate with Chairs and draft/distribute meeting agenda one week before the meeting
  • Attend meetings and draft minutes, action schedule and a membership Communique within 1 week after the meeting
  • Follow up with action items and make sure the action items are complete before the next meeting.

You’ll be looking after six Specialty Groups, 2 Special Interest Groups and Head of Specialties and Head of Branches meetings:

Six Specialty Groups (SG)

Radiation Oncology SG

Radiology SG

Nuclear Medicine SG

Biomedical Engineering SG

Radiopharmaceutical Science SG

Radiation Protection SG

Two Special Interest Groups (SIG)

Medical Image Registration SIG

University SIG

And you would bring:

  • Knowledge in Medical Physics
  • Excellent communication skills with oral and written English.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills
  • A “can do” problem solving attitude.

Note: We would like the successful candidate to work at our office for the first 6 months then with the possibility of working from home. This is so that they are property inducted and well supported into the role. Therefore we are not considering interstate students at the moment. However, if we don't generate enough interest in NSW, we might consider interstate candidates at a later stage.
