We are looking for a Radiation Oncology Medical Physicist (ROMP) for a permanent, full time position based at our Melbourne VCCC campus. This position will focus on commissioning and ongoing support and development of clinical services of our new Gamma Knife.
Applicants are expected to have several years’ practical experience in medical physics demonstrated by certification as a Radiation Oncology Medical Physicist by ACPSEM or have equivalent experience, qualifications and board registration.
Candidates with skills in advanced imaging (especially MR), radiation safety, commissioning, or a field of research in line with current or emerging radiotherapy techniques are particularly encouraged to apply.
This position will require some out-of-hours duties, which may include weekend work, and although primarily located at the Melbourne VCCC campus, some mobility between Peter Mac sites may be required. It is also expected that the successful candidate will support other medical physics activities as required.
