The ACPSEM WA Branch Annual Scientific Meeting will be held on Sunday 16th October at 5D Clinics, 261 Stirling Hwy, Claremont (see map below). The venue is easily accessed by public transport. There is limited parking at the rear of the building, accessed from Stirling Hwy.

Invited speaker Dr Matthew Young will be presenting Generation of relativistic electron/positron pairs above the poles of a pulsar.
The 2022 BSM invited speaker is Dr Matthew Young, a researcher at the International Centre for Radio Astronomy Research (ICRAR) and course coordinator at UWA. Matthew is deeply interested in using astrophysical systems to explore fundamental problems in physics, and gaining a deeper understanding of the pulsar emission and evolution processes.

After the BSM, we will hold the WA Branch Annual Meeting. This is your opportunity to join the WA Branch Committee as General Member(s). Only Members can attend the Annual Meeting, which will commence at 13:30, and usually takes about 20min. A Zoom link will be sent to members for the Annual Meeting.
